The one-week funeral memorial of the late Christian Atsu is currently ongoing at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf at East Legon.
Many football stars, actors, actresses, musicians and dignitaries such as GFA officials, former coaches, and presidential hopefuls, among others have graced the occasion.

As the celebration is still in progress an announcement was made that the late player will have his final funeral rites observed on 17th March 2023.
Atsu’s funeral will be held at the forecourt of the state house to make his burial a very befitting one.
