Diminutive Kumawood actor, Yaw Dabo has lamented on how cinema owners in the country are charging exorbitantly.
Following this development, Yaw Dabo has appealed to the Ghanaian government to build more cinemas in the county.
He believes the availability of cinemas will go a long way to help moviemakers.
Speaking to Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’, Yaw Dabo revealed that movie producers who premiere their movie at private-owned cinemas lose a lot of profit.
He said the producers have to split the proceeds 50/50 with the private cinema owners after using their facility.
Yaw Dabo described the situation as worrying and the government should do something about it in order to unburden moviemakers in the country.
