On the 4th floor of the Fine Print Building on Saturday, April 24, 2020, Akuapem Poloo‘s first public interview after her release from prison pending her appeal hearing came off.
The presser was attended by a lot of media men from both the online and traditional media networks.
Even though it was a very short event, a lot of issues came up when the social media sensation read her prepared script with a lot of tears in her eyes and finally took some questions from the pressmen and women gathered at the auditorium.
After all, was said and done, her response to a question about whether her seven-year-old son was aware if she was behind bars these last few days is causing some confusion.
According to Akuapem Poloo, her young son is not aware she was arrested because he was told that she (Akuapem Poloo) was in Nigeria shooting some commercials.
Her response is however strange because following her sentencing, her mother granted an interview to Peace FM on April 15, 2021, and stated emphatically that Akuapem Poloo’s son was aware that his mother was behind bars because he saw it on TV.
Poloo’s mother even added that the young boy refused to go to school the next day because he was afraid friends will laugh at him.
