Kumawood actor, Okomfuor Koleege has reacted to the Minister for Information’s claim that the government won’t pay the celebrities who they intended to engage as ambassadors in educating the public against the coronavirus.

The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah clarified at a recent press conference in Accra that: “We were thinking of having them as public education ambassadors or public education champions. I later saw online stories that we have said we are going to use celebrity ambassadors and suggestion that we are going to pay some money; no, that is not happening.”

In a reply to the Minister’s statement, Okomfuor Koleege told Zion Felix in an interview on the ‘Uncut Show’ that he is not ready to do such a work without being paid.

He stated that the government should count him out if they are not ready to pay these celebrities.

The actor argued these ambassadors will need money to make the campaign a success.
