COVID-19 UPDATE: Ghana’s Cases Rise To 5,638; Recoveries Leap To 1,460 With 28 Deaths

The Ghana Health Service updated the figures for COVID-19 cases in Ghana on the website in the late hours of Friday, May 15, 2020.

According to the new figures, a total of 108 more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease.

This brings the total number of positive tested cases recorded in the country to 5,638.

It has also emerged that Ghana’s number of COVD-19 recoveries has remarkably shot up to 1,460 while the death toll has also increased to 28.

The update on the Ghana Health Service website indicates that 44 of the 108 new cases were recorded in Accra, 26 in the Western Region, 16 in the Central Region and 12 from the Northern Region.

The remaining 10 were recorded in the Ashanti Region; with 5 from the Kumasi sub-metro and the other 5 in Obuasi where some are suggesting there should be a localized lockdown.
