An educational and entertaining nights await the people of Amsterdam as Daakye, a Ghanaian cultural group is set to perform at Ghana’s 62nd Independence Day dinner dance in Amsterdam.
The group is made up of professional dancers and drummers from Ghana. The group will teach the Ghanaian kids born in the Netherlands how to dance and play some famous Ghanaian cultural instruments like the Kora, talking Drum and dgembe
The program is set for 9th March 2019 at No limit Cultural center. Her Excellency Ms Sophia Horner-Sam Ghana ambassador to the Netherlands will grace the occassion and deliver a lecture on Ghana 60 Years On!!
Daakye cultural group, our special performing guests have performed both locally and internationally for many years The group won an international cultural award in Bulgaria for the best entertaining group at the Paradijk Festival last year and has also performed in Italy and other European countries. This will be their first performance in the Netherlands.
The group will reenact the struggles Ghanaians went through before independence in a dance play.
It will be an unforgettable evening.
