UK based Ghanaian singer and professional nurse, Diana Antwi Hamilton can not hide her joy after she walked away with two top awards at the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which came off at the new dome of the AICC on May 18.
The “I Believe” hitmaker was awarded the Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
She competed with the likes of Joe Mettle, Akesse Brempong, Koda, Joyce Blessing, and Obaapa Christy but she proved to voters who are the major decision-makers regarding the awards that this is her time.
In a message she sent to Zionfelix.net earlier today, here’s what she wrote “Family, early this morning I was awarded Gospel Artiste of the year and Song of the Year (MoNeYo) at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). It was surreal. I will be lying if I deny my Joy. Yes, our ultimate reward is in heaven but this serves as a source of encouragement too. My apologies I could not sing as planned. I was all changed and prepped to mount the stage after the Dancehall Category but the situation changed the story. In all things we thank God. I promise to make it up to you. Thanks to everyone that voted and for all your support over the years. The work continues.”
