Leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, well-known as Cheddar, is trending on social media following his claim of being invited to the parliament of the United Kingdom.

In a social media post on October 10, Cheddar hinted at his UK parliament speech.

After posting a flyer, he wrote: “I’ll be speaking LIVE from the UK parliament, tune in and witness history as I speak on Africa’s Economic Pillars to Freedom.”

Most of his supporters were happy about this and offered words of encouragement.

Later, Cheddar shared a video of a speech he claimed was delivered at the UK parliament.

The New Force leader captioned the video: “The first African leader to apologise on behalf of African leaders for their mistakes which have caused us economic crisis, currency devaluation, stagnant development etc. Apart from apologising he is also the first to present a petition on English soil, in the uk parliament, urging the world powers to refrain from influencing our political systems. He invited the world to become Africa’s international commercial partners on equal terms instead.”

Following this, Ghanaian social media users have been questioning the authenticity of Cheddar’s speech at the supposed UK parliament.

Some of his critics said he faked it, tagging it as ‘settings’.

An X user, YouKnowGhana wrote: “A source just told me that the New Force candidate, Cheddar, wasn’t invited by any sitting UK MP. They rented the Churchill Room within the UK Parliament grounds and played their campaign video to their own guests. He was with the deported spokesperson. This fraud is brazen.”

Media personality, Bridget Otoo commented: This Cheddar thing reminds me of that moment NAM1 “opened” menzgold London branch and took a photo with his staff just to scam more people..This NAM1 guy even insulted Israel Laryea for being one of the first to expose him. @nam_the_patriot I’m blocked, but I  enjoy tagging u.”

An X user questioned: “Cheddar paa… UK parliament that?”

Another X user wrote: “Cheddar do Settings give you people and  some people fell for it dey also tweet UK Parliament. Wei🥲”

Cheddar has not responded to the criticisms.
