The aftermath of Fameye’s recent performance at Dominion Centre in the UK, has been rife with controversy.

Fameye’s public criticism of the event’s DJ who happens to be a veteran UK-based disc jockey, DJ Chos has sparked a wave of reactions, prompting the DJ and his team to issue an official response to clear the air.

In a statement released by Chos Media, the team clarified that the performance disruptions stemmed from poor rehearsal arrangements and contradictory directives from Fameye’s camp, rather than any shortcomings on DJ Chos’ part.

They revealed that rehearsals with Fameye was minimal and rushed. “Fameye had only two brief sessions—12 minutes in DJ Chos’ car, after declining a full studio rehearsal due to fatigue, and another 15-minute session at the venue itself,” the statement explained.

Despite the constraints, an agreed playlist was finalized for the performance.

However, on the night of the event, confusion unfolded. A member of Fameye’s team reportedly insisted that DJ Chos play “Kwaku Ananse” for a freestyle which affected the award-winning musician’s performance.

Defending DJ Chos’ expertise, the team highlighted his track record, emphasizing that other artists like Kelvyn Boy and Kweku Flick.
