Young Ghanaian entertainer, DJ Switch drove to the final day of the International Youth Empowerment Summit (iYes) with her mum to perform but they walked home with a gift worth over 200,000 euros.
Ghanaian Oil and Gas entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Kofi Amoa-Abban gifted the young DJ’s mum a watch worth 200,000 euros (Gh1,134,335). The kid telling how it happened at iYes said on Instagram that Dr. Abban asked her to pick one person from the crowd for a gift and she chose her mum.
According to her, she did not know what the gift was but she decided to select her mother from the hundreds who had gathered for the 4th edition of the event only to see that the man was giving out a wristwatch estimated to cost over 200,000 euros.
“I was Luckily called by Dr Kofi ABBANN to choose someone at the congregation of @iyesghana to bless the person with a gift. I was wandering whom to choose but ooops😳!! I chose my Mum and Dr gave her 200,000 euros worth of wrist watch. .MAY YOU NEVER LUCK DR KOFI ABBANN & the host @drbrianamoateng of @iyesghana” she posted on Instagram.
Dr. Abban before giving the watch to the woman said “I’m going to give you this watch which is very close to my heart. Anytime you wear, it should tell you it is possible. I’m going to give you something which is worth over 220,000 euros but please don’t sell it.”
Kofi Amoa-Abban(born 30 Dec 1982) is a Ghanaian Oil and Gas entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, an oil services business with operations across West Africa.
