Singer Kurl Songx definitely must be doing something right as his fellow musicians are quick to jump to his defense.
Upcoming musician K’Swagg has alleged Kurl Songx demanded 6000 cedis to appear in a music video after he had already charged him GH¢1,500 to feature on his track: “I want you.”
His disclosure on Hitz FM which has gone viral has prompted some industry players to address the issue.
Sarkodie defended Kurl Songx’s decision to demand an “appearance fee” saying music was a full time job. Another musician who has added his voice is Linford Kennedy Amankwaa known as Ko-Jo Cue.
Venting his disapproval by commenting on an Instagram post, the afro-pop artiste stated that K Swagg’s decision to specifically choose Kurl Songx despite the number of artistes in the country is enough reason for Kurl to state his demands.
He further asserted that American musician Drake charges a whooping 100,000 dollars for a feature.
Ko-Jo cue stressed the need for Ghanaians to start treating music like the business it actually is.
