Ghanaian female dancehall artiste Ebony passed on Thursday, February 8 after a fatal accident on her way from Sunyani to Accra after a family visit.
This tragedy which hit the country has had many ask if she would be nominated for this year’s Ghana Music Award judging from her works in 2017 – Zionfelix.net has heard. Charterhouse, organiser of the annual music awards has responded the question during a press briefing held in Accra on Friday, February 9.
Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse speaking at the event mentioned that the ‘Hustle’ hitmaker will not be denied nomination despite her demise. According to her, Ebony will be nominated for the 2018 edition of the awards if she deserves it. Not only that, she will be rewarded duly on the awards night, April 14 if the public and the board vote for her.
One minute silence was observed for the late musician real name Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng at the press conference to held to tell the press plans or the 2018 Ghana Music Awards festival.
Ebony was reported dead on Friday, February 9 after she met her untimely death in a fatal accident at Nyamebekyre in the Brong Ahafo Region. The songstress’ Jeep with registration AS 497—16 from Sunyani heading towards Kumasi collided head-on with a VIP bus heading towards Sunyani from Kumasi
