After recently hitting back and criticizing Hitz FM publicly, rapper Edem appeared on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz stated that he only take advice from people who know him and not just anyone who sits in radio to criticize him because he has grown a thick skin to criticisms.
Edem responding to the question about how he responds to criticisms told Andy Dosty in the interview on Daybreak Hitz that he has grown to accept that all the criticisms are part of showbiz. Edem added that has come to the conclusion that it is very difficult to change the view of people who seem to have an opinion about someone.
“…After nine years in the business, I feel it is part and parcel of the business…” he told Andy Dosty.
The multi-talented musician further explained that many of the people who usually criticize musicians and celebrities like himself mostly make up their minds before they come on air and as such nothing one will say will matter to them. Edem also stated that these people do not give thought process to issues before commenting or passing judgment and that these people have been programmed to form an opinion.
Edem told Andy Dosty and all his listeners that he will therefore not accept any form of advice from such people stating that they don’t know him to really advise him. The rapper, therefore, stressed that he will only accept advice from people who really know him.
“…Anybody who doesn’t know you, the advice won’t be good…” he said.
