Legendary gospel musician Elder Dr. Emmanuel Kwesi Mireku is 40 years in ministry this year.
The renowned Ghanaian Pentecostal worship leader at a colourful event held on Wednesday, June 20 launched the 40th anniversary in the presence of several men of God, fellow gospel musicians, friends, family and the press. The launch of the commemoration had several respectable personalities in the country sharing their testimonies after listening to the songs of Elder Mireku for years.
Wife of the minister speaking highly of the husband revealed how patient he is as a man. According to the wife who is a nurse, her husband of 30 years has played a vital role in her line of work. She revealed that “at times I get worried because of my work but whenever I come home to see him behind his organ, he gives me words of encouragement.”
Organisers of the 40th-anniversary concert announced at the press event that there will be a mega show to climax the celebration on November 9 this year at the Independence Square in Accra. They added that there will be mini shows in Easter Region, Kumasi and other parts of the country prior to the November 9 event in Ghana’s capital.
The ace musician speaking at the launch thanked the world for supporting his ministry till now. He continued that he could not have been this successful without the help of God and his fans.
Elder Mireku further asked his fans and the public to still believe in his brand because the good Lord who has been using him for His business is still at work.
Musicians who performed at the launch of Elder Mireku @ 40 included Ohemaa Mercy, Rev. Mensah Bonsu, Uncle Ato, Mary Ghansah and many others.
