Ghanaian politician and former member of parliament for kumbungu Constituency Ras Mubarak has revealed how he got married to his own cousin.
The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority made the shocking revelation in an interview with media personality Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr FM’s Starr Chat segment.
He clearly didn’t see anything wrong with marrying a cousin of his as he narrates to a stunned Nana Aba who looked at him flabbergasted.
Narrating how it happened, Ras Mubarak recalled how he had a conversation about marriage with one of his relatives whose name he refused to disclose.
The relative told him that if he wants to marry, he can look within the family since his uncles and aunties have some beautiful and educated young women who would make good wives.
He settled on one of his cousins who turned out to be Hon. Muntaka Mubarak’s daughter. He added that the beautiful woman was a virgin as well.
