Entertainment journalist, Kwame Dadzie, has offered some education to legendary highlife musician and dancer, Akosua Agyapong.
The Joy FM presenter offered the advice in reaction to some remarks Akosua Agyapong made during an interview on Adom FM.
In the said interview on Adom FM, Akosua Agyapong disclosed that the Ghana Music Rights Organization did not treat veteran musician, Akwaboah Senior well prior to his recent death.
According to the ‘Kpanlogo’ hitmaker, the late musician called him prior to his death that he placed a call to GHAMRO recently for financial help after he got stuck at the hospital because the money he had could not pay the bills.
Akosua Agyapong added that the late Akwaboah Senior further told him that GHAMRO said him just Ghc250 when he needed way more than that at the said time.
She also disclosed that the late musician revealed that he wanted to transfer back the money sent to him but he could not do so because it was a merchant number.
Following the revelation and the reactions it is receiving on social media, the host of Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z show took to his Facebook wall to tell Akosua Agyapong that despite the supposed abysmal performance of GHAMRO over the years, it must be noted that they are a CMO and not a welfare organization that gives to money to anybody who calls them for financial assistance.
He added the body that can give out monies to their members easily when they face any form of financial difficulty is MUSIGA and a few others.
Kwame in the end advised the likes of Akosua Agyapong not to allow their emotions to cloud their sense of judgment when speaking about some industry matters.
