Kwaku Manu has asserted that Ghanaian movie belongs to the government of Ghana.

The popular Ghanaian actor made this statement in an exclusive interview with ZionFelix.

Manu mentioned Kwame Nkrumah’s role in establishing the film industry in the country some years ago.

On the back of this, he said individual movie makers or producers are investing to make ends meet.

Kwaku Manu used the film industry in America as an example, citing how it projects the country positively.

He thinks the same can be done in Ghana if the government is to make certain commitments to make the movie industry in Ghana thrive.

Since there’s a Creative Arts Sector Minister, the actor stated that it’s enough proof to say the government has a say in the industry.

He also complained about Ghanaians not understanding the work of movie makers in the country.

Kwaku Manu was unhappy about how fans react to public figures (celebrities) associating themselves with political figures or parties.
