The 2024 Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards, held on January 11, 2025, at the GNAT Hall in Bolgatanga, celebrated the region’s vibrant music scene.

The star-studded event saw Mr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, the CEO of Charger Limited honour exceptional talents.

Fasetwo who emerged as the Overall Artiste of the Year, earned GHC 21,000 and an all-year flight ticket from Tamale to Accra and back.

In addition to Fasetwo’s big win, several artists and industry players were recognized.

Notable awards included Best Collaboration of the Year, won by Fasetwo and Fadlan for Sabu, Gospel Song of the Year awarded to Phil Mak for Akimole, and Best Rap Performance of the Year, claimed by Carlblingx for Kpa Kpa Kpa. Each winner received GHC 1,000.

Reggae/Dancehall artist Alaptawan, Hip Hop Artist Gingsen, and Afrobeats sensation Young Naira also took home awards for their outstanding contributions.

The Female Vocalist of the Year award went to Apodita, while Rockcity Bongo was honored as the Best Group of the Year.

One of the night’s highlights was the HMB Most Popular Song of the Year, awarded to SaintChicago for Ba Na Zoe, earning him GHC 2,000.

Gloria Bby received GHC 6,000 as the Upper East Music Influencer of the Year, recognizing her impact on the region’s music industry.

The event, sponsored by the CEO of Happy Man Bitters, showcased the talent and creativity of Upper East musicians, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the year ahead.
