Kumawood actor, Berma Bediide has expressed his disappointment in the legalization of Marijuana for medicinal and industrial purposes in Ghana.
The Parliament of Ghana on Friday, March 20, 2020, passed into law the Narcotics Control Commission Bill, 2019 which makes the country’s Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) a Commission with enhanced powers to oversee the industrial use of some narcotic substances.
Reacting to this in an interview with Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’, the actor said this will make room for people to consume marijuana more.

He argued that the people who will work on these marijuana farmers will definitely use such an opportunity to use it personally.
Citing the legalization as a mistake, Bediide stated that the number of mentally challenged cases will be on ascendency if care is not taken.

According to him, some people will ride on this law to abuse the usage of marijuana.
Meanwhile, there are still strict sanctions and punitive measures portend in the use of marijuana in Ghana.
