Okyeame Kwame is not ready for a leadership position at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
In order to protect his hard-earned reputation, the Rap Docta averred he won’t try to take up any MUSIGA position.
The popular Ghanaian rapper indicated that he is not psychologically prepared—because it is a demanding role.
“Musicians are leaders by themselves, with millions of followers on their social media. So if you position yourself as a leader of musicians, you are indirectly a leader of leaders, and all these leaders have their own ideas and styles of leading to become successful.
“So immediately you position yourself in front of them, you have to be as dedicated as Obour was and be focused on doing it with all intensity, otherwise, you will fail,” he said on Okay FM.
“To tell you the truth, I am currently not psychologically prepared to be able to lead leaders. I think that it’s not yet my time. I’ve worked with MUSIGA, and GHAMRO and realized that I could not handle all that. Maybe in the future, I might.
“If I go, I may see negative headlines. I am not ready to sacrifice my image for MUSIGA. Maybe in the future. But for now, I am okay with being a member,” Okyeame Kwame added.
