Efia Odo has added her voice to the ongoing #Freethecitizens campaign on social media.

In a heartfelt post on X formerly Twitter, Efia Odo lamented that the ruling NPP has no regard for the rule of law.

According to her, she strongly believes Ghana is in a huge pit and it would take a miracle for us to get out of it.

As stated by Efia Odo, even if the NDC comes into power after the next general elections, John Mahama wouldn’t be able to solve our problems within just 4 years.

She continued that Ghana used to be a beautiful country until Nana Addo assumed the office of the president.

Yesterday, thirty-nine people who were part of the weekend’s street protest and were arrested by the police for unlawful acts have been remanded into custody by the Accra Circuit Court.

They were part of the three-day street protest organized by the pressure group, Democracy Hub.

The protest, which voiced concerns over illegal small-scale mining (galamsey) and economic mismanagement, has led to charges of unlawful assembly and other offenses against the demonstrators.

Ten protesters were the first to be remanded after appearing in court, charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, specifically unlawful assembly.
