About two weeks ago, Kumawood actor and football club owner, Yaw Dabo made it into the headlines over his infamous comments which will he hard for a lot of Ghaians to erase from their minds.
Speaking in an interview with Saddick Adams, Yaw Dabo stated that it’s very absurd for anyone to waste more than an hour of his or her time watching movies.

As argued by Yaw Dabo, spending more than an hour watching movies means you’re aimless and will make you remain poor forever.
After his comments went viral on social media, a lot of social media users threatened to boycott his movies as well as his football team.
The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), hurriedly released a statement to apologize to Ghanaians on behalf of Yaw Dabo.
However, after facing widespread criticism, Yaw Dabo has issued a public apology, expressing regret for any hurt his words may have caused.
In a new interview, Yaw Dabo stated that he meant no harm with his words and expressed how sorry he was.
He explained that he was only trying to encourage folks to spend their time profitably.
Fortunately for him, his apology has been favorably received by movie lovers, who have acknowledged his regret and urged the Ghanaians to put the issue behind them.
