The NPP’s electronic levy (E-levy) is one of the most discussed policies introduced by the ruling party.
A lot of Ghanaians, especially those without any form of political colorization firmly spoke against the passage of the E-levy until it was recently passed into law by the parliament of Ghana and latter assented to by the president of the Republic of Ghana.
The discussions of the passage of the E-levy into law has not still not ended and award-winning actor, Kwaku Manu in a recent interview revealed that he is not in support.
According to Kwaku, the passage of the E-levy tax is not something the country needs now because it will bring more hardship to the country.

Kwaku Manu emphasized that a lot of the time people who struggle to get their dialy bread will call people who are a little well-to-do and ask them for money. What it means is that the people who are trying to help alleviate the plight of those who are ‘poor’ will also suffer more.
He ended by advising people to work hard and pray and stop focusing on politicians to make their life better because it is very unlikely that they can never help.
