Popular media personality, Ebenezer Nana Yaw Donkoh, better known as NY DJ, has unreservedly apologized to every individual who believed his report that American rapper, Kanye West was in Ghana.
On Thursday, January 5, 2023, the YFM presenter took to his various social media platforms to state that he had gathered information that Kanye West was in Ghana as a surprise act for the Black Star Line Festival which was put together by Vic Mensah and Chance the Rapper.
Even though there was some level of doubt when NY DJ made the post, he made another revelation to buttress his point.
In a reply to a comment under the post he made, he told one commenter that the ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker was already in Ghana because some members of his team were seen partying with American stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle on Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at a party held at the Play Ghana Club.
Well, the music festival came to an end around 5:30 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023, and the Grammy award-winning rapper did not make an appearance.
As a way of calming the nerves of the people who probably made their way to the event grounds because of his revelation, NY DJ took to his social media platforms to admit he goofed this time and revealed that he got his information wrong.
‘Kanye/YE x Black Star Line Festival I made a mistake. Unfortunately, I got my information wrong this time. I’m sorry,’ he wrote.
