Veteran Ghanaian movie producer, Mr Samuel Nyamekye has opened up on the feat he has achieved in the industry.

During an interview with ZionFelix on the ‘Uncut Show’, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Miracle Films revealed he was the first producer who started shooting twi movies in Kumasi.

He explained that he’s the pioneer when it comes to filmmaking in Kumasi.

Recounting his journey in the movie industry, Mr Nyamekye said he broke away from Alexie Boat and established his own production in 1995.

According to him, his active production started in 1997—two years after he parted ways with Alexie Boat.

He recalled English movies were sought after movies before he started producing twi movies in Kumasi.

The CEO of Miracle Films indicated that Kumawood is not about twi movies alone because he started with English movies.

Mr Samuel Nyamekye added that Takoradi was the hub of movie production in Ghana some years ago.

He disclosed that his first movie shot in Kumasi was titled “Be Vigilant”.
