Ghanaian artiste/producer, David Kwamena Bolton, otherwise known as D’kaybee, has revealed he started developing soft wares at a tender age.
The IT specialist told Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’ that he started developing medical soft wares for Doctors and hospitals in the United Kingdom at the age of thirteen (13).
He said his software was able to record the history of patients and also send out reminders concerning their upcoming medical screening or checkups.
According to him, he had a lot of sleepless nights researching and working on these soft wares.
Through hard work, he was able to set up his own company at the age of 14. Patronage of his soft wares was very high and his competitors became worried.
Following that, one of his competitors, a pharmaceutical company mapped up a strategy of killing his business but they didn’t succeed.
Mr Kwamena Bolton recounted how he rejected a 2 million pounds offer from the company. He explained that they wanted to buy his software and silence it because it was cheaper than theirs.
He disclosed raking about 1 million pounds through the sales of his soft wares.
The Ekumfi-Otuam indigene who was born by a Scottish father and a Ghanaian mother came back to Ghana at the age of seventeen (17).
He has developed soft wares for Melcom Ghana, payroll system for the government of Ghana and software for Ghana water company through his company, SOFTtribe Limited.
Being in operation for about 29-years, Mr Bolton has paid about hundreds of people.
