One of the ten rappers who was featured on Sarkodie’s “Biibi Ba” song, Amerado Burner, has urged the media and his fans to stop describing him as a Kumasi-based rapper henceforth because currently, he is representing the country’s capital, Accra.

The Mic Burnerz record label signee whose real name is Derrick Kwabena Safo Kantanka made this disclosure in a quick chat with blogger GhKwaku in a video sighted by zionfelix.net.

According to him, the decision to remain a Kumasi-based rapper all this while has not helped him because even though he is a very great rapper just like many of his compatriots in Accra, the attention of the media seems not to be on him.

Amarado emphasized that anybody who sees him from now should refer to him as an Accra rapper because he is in the capital to battle it out with the likes of Medikal and Kwesi Arthur for the throne as the greatest rapper in the new generation.

It does not come as surprising news that Amerado has made this public declaration. It will be recalled that he told Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz show recently that it’s difficult for Kumasi-based rappers to get into the limelight in Ghana’s music industry.
