Sarkodie’s response to Yvonne Nelson has met criticisms.
The renowned rapper dropped ‘Try Me’ to tell his side of the story after Yvonne made a revelation about an abortion she had for him in her ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ memoir.
After listening to the song, Ghanaian media personality Noella Kharyne Yalley, was disappointed in Sarkodie.
Despite her admiration for the Sarkcess Music boss, the Multimedia Group presenter declared her disappointment in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net.

She raised a lot of questions about the response from Sarkodie.
“I’m a sark native, but to say I cringed at Sark’s ‘truth’, is me saying the very least!
Utterly disappointed at a man I have so much admiration for. By all means, men must speak up and speak their truth. I’m a firm believer and advocate for men speaking up because often times, men bottle up a lot of emotions in the name of ‘Being a man’; An absolute hogwash!
So just like Kwetey, I was excited to learn about Sark telling his story. My excitement however was short lived What a tacky response! Did he even read the book? Did id his PR team even give him a 360 view of everything that was written in the book to guide his response? Or was the focus just to respond to the famous page 93?
Even if so, How do you, in this day and age, with all your grace and exposure, slut-shame?
Was the song recorded in the heat of anger? Couldn’t he have told his story devoid of insults?
You call a woman you admit to having ‘A THING’ with, and laid with WITHOUT PROTECTION a ‘street girl’? A woman who carried your seed an ‘Ashawo’?
And Sark is a GIRL DAD? Chale! Anyways, Sark too is human, and not above mistake. Plus, I believe his response was vetted and approved by his ‘able’ PR team (if he has any).
So really, whom am I?” Noella Kharyne Yalley wrote on Facebook.
