Poetry is seen as the most relegated, and unprofitable venture in the creative arts industry in Ghana.
It is, however, worth noting that the narrative is gradually finding a way out of the Ghanaian Society, as Gombilla the poet keep organizing, and headlining sold out poetry shows dubbed Sobolo+Chicken Poetry show with Gombilla the poet.
Accra’s Edition was massive, but on the 26th of December 2017 in Tamale, it was super. The night showed that the love the people of Tamale have for their own son is massive as over 2,000 fans came out in their numbers to support the poet who is also a final year student at the University Of Ghana.This narrative may not be too surprising as we have all seen how over the years, the people of Tamale have supported Fancy Gadam, Maccasio, and others.
The show brought together over 20 Ghanaian Talents in one night. Amongst them were: Six Strings, Chief Moomen, Rhyme Sonny, Jeffrey Nortey, Don Sigli, Onenira, and Many more.
