Andrew Vortia, the lawyer for popular Ghanaian social media sensation Rosemond Brown, known on social media as Akuapem Poloo, has described as harsh the decision of the High Court judge, Justice Ruby Aryeetey to dismiss the appeal filed to challenge her 90 days custodial sentence.

Speaking after the court hearing on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, lawyer Andrew Vortia said that he is very sad because this ruling will mean that Akuapem Poloo‘s son will have to spend all this time away from his mother even though he has a great bond with her.

He also disclosed that while making their submissions in court earlier today, the prosecution agreed with them that it would have been better their appeal was accepted because it would have been a better thing to do for the child, however, the high court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey had a contrary view.

Lawyer Andrew Vortia went further to reveal that they have no plans to appeal this decision at the appeals court which means that Akuapem Poloo will now continue to serve her 90 days jail terms imposed on her by the Circuit Court from where she left off.
