Mikki Osei Berko has confirmed that the Ghanaian movie industry doesn’t pay at all.
Stakeholders of the entire entertainment industry have relentlessly bemoaned the poor state of the industry.
A number of veteran Ghanaian actors and entertainers have had to fall on public support in order to raise enough money to take care of their health and living problems.
Speaking to Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM and monitored by zionfelix.net, the man popularly called master Richard said he annually makes less than 5000 cedis from movie acting jobs.
He said, “I make less that 5000 cedis a year from acting in movies and dramas. But for my ambassadorial deals and other businesses how would i have survived”.
He stated emphatically that about 90 percent of people in the creative arts industry have no solid financial bearing.
