The decision of any lady to pierce any part of the human body aside the ear is one that is frowned upon in the Ghanaian society, especially if the person is a gospel musician who is seen as someone who is supposed to be a shining example for Christians out there.
Well, fast-rising UK based Ghanaian gospel musician, Alice Mckenzie who has pierced her nose and has extra holes on her ears speaking in a chat with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show recently upon her arrival in Ghana to promote her single titled “Ahuntahunu” which features award-winning musicians Morris D’Voice, formerly known as Morris Babyface and Noble Nketia, she gave the reasons why.
The talented gospel musician stated on the show that she decided to pierce her nose when she was just about sixteen years old because she liked it anytime she saw the piercings on the nose of people and not because she was a bad girl as people perceive that such individuals are.

The mother of two also added that pressure from friends and social influence in the society she found herself in were also factors that influenced her decision to have the piercing on her nose and ears.
She was however very quick to state that it is a decision she is not proud of and as such, she has decided not to be putting any form of a ring into the one one her nose again.
