Vida Adutwumwaa, the current PRO of Burniton Music Group has joined the ongoing discussion surrounding American rapper Ja Rule’s recent school project in Ghana, offering a candid take on the matter.
Speaking in an interview, Vida acknowledged that while Ghanaians appreciate Ja Rule’s philanthropic effort, many had expected a more significant project, considering his global status and influence.
“It’s not as if we don’t appreciate what he has done. However, if you look at Ja Rule’s status and his achievements in the music industry in America, he has impacted a lot of things.
So, when you hear that he has built a project in a country, you would expect that it would be something monumental,” she stated.
Her comments come amid mixed reactions from Ghanaians, with some expressing disappointment over the simplicity of the school structure Ja Rule supported.
Vida further clarified that the criticism is not about ungratefulness but rather about the difference between expectations and reality.
