HiGhanaian actress Jackie Appiah showcased her philanthropic spirit by celebrating her 40th birthday at Mepe, a town severely affected by the recent flood disaster in the Volta Region as a result of the Akosombo Dam spillage.
When she was storming the town on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Jackie Appiah opted for a casual look, donning a white Jil Sander t-shirt paired with cargo trousers.
She arrived at the grounds for the celebration in her white Range Rover with the aim of going to graduate the people the individuals who had gotten some skilled trained through her initiative.
When the town unfortunated got flooded some weeks ago, Jackie Appiah in her effort to contribute to the recovery of victims in Mepe, decided to empower 120 individuals through vocational training.
She explained that providing skills training instead of monetary aid in her opinion was going to ensure a lasting impact on the lives of these individuals, helping them secure their daily bread and support their families.

The training encompassed various fields, including makeup artistry, tie and dye making, hairdressing, metalwork, and baking.
When she spoke at the grounds before the ceremony, the award-winning actress thanked the brands that supported the project, ensuring that the trained individuals received setup packs as well to kickstart their new ventures.
