The final funeral rites for Ghana’s Former President Jerry John Rawlings which was expected to come off on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, have been postponed indefinitely.
This new information came to light in a letter from the Office of the Former President Rawlings.
According to the letter sighted by zionfelix.net, the earlier communication for his burial is no longer going to be possible.
They however failed to indicate the reason for the sudden postponement.
“The Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings informs the general public that his funeral will no longer take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020
“A new date will be communicated to the public in due course,” portions of the statement reads.
It will be recalled that Former President Jerry John Rawlings died on Thursday, November 12, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after battling a very short illness.
