Popular political talk show host, Kaba real name Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong was laid to rest on Saturday, December 16 at the forecourt of the State Banquette Hall in Accra.
The final funeral rites of the deceased had many Ghanaians attending to pay their last respect to the broadcast journalist. Family, friends, colleagues and many prominent personalities in the society drove to the funeral grounds to say goodbye to him.
It was a moment of tears at the venue when well-wishers saw him lying in state. Popular figures who attended the event included politicians, musicians, actors, radio/TV presenters and other respected individuals in the society.
Zionfelix saw Samira Bawumia, Mzbel, Obaapa Christy, Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin, Kwame Sefa Kayi, Asiedu Nketia, Tima Yeboah, DJ Black, Dr. Pounds, O.J, Willie and Mike, SP Kofi Sarpong, Francis Adjei and many others at the funeral.
Broadcast journalist and host of Asempa FM’s political show, ‘Ekosi Sen’ Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong popularly known as KABA shared memorable times as a family man and a public figure in the media industry.
He got married to radio presenter, Valentina Ofori Afriyie in 2016 at Santasi in Kumasi
He had his second cycle education at the Techiman Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region and completed in 1999.
He pursued Advanced Broadcast Journalism – Print and Broadcast at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and completed in the year 2005 and further enrolled in an Educational course at the University of Cape Coast and completed in 2007.
As a strong anti-corruption campaigner, he used his show to campaign against corruption.
He recently won the Radio Talk Show Host of the Year award at the 2017 RTP Awards.
