NPP firebrand, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has stated that members of his own New Patriotic Party, not the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), were responsible for fake reports that went viral some years ago that he was a notorious drug dealer.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the rumors that he’s into narcotics followed after he had a heated argument with one of the ‘big men’ in the party.
He lamented that not only did this person accuse and spread fake stories about for him for dealing drugs, but he also took the sole credit for what he and he did for the party to win power in 2000.
Revealing the name of the person on NET TV, Kennedy Agyapong boldly said, “the late former Central Regional Minister Isaac Edumadzi was the first person to accuse me of being a drug dealer”.
He reportedly said;
“Where I got problem with Isaac Edumadze was that I told him I was not going to let him take credit for the work I did and also the way he sabotaged some candidates. He was the first person to accuse me of being a drug dealer. He was the first person. It wasn’t from the NDCs; it was internal because I resisted him”.
For those of you who have no idea about Mr. Isaac Edumadze, he was the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Ejumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency from 2005 to 2009 during John Agyekum Kufour’s era.
Ghanaians are yet to come to terms with Kennedy Agyapong‘s innocence in dealing with cocaine.
Even some celebrities including Afia Schwar have attributed his wealth to his yet-to-be-confirmed drug business.
