Ghanaian actor, Richard Asante aka Kalybos has disclosed in an interview with celebrity blogger, Zionfelix, on his ‘Zionfelix Uncut’ show that even though his decision to part ways in business terms with his good friend Kofi Asamoah some months ago was painful, it has been one of the best decisions he has taken.
The ‘Amakye & Dede’ actor revealed that even though he was making some good money when he was working with Kofi Asamoah, he is making more today. He added that he was previously shooting a single movie in a year but after their break up, he has shot about eleven films just this year. Shooting eleven movies in 2018 instead of his usual one movie automatically means that he is getting a lot more money now, he further stressed.
Richard Asante as also told Zionfelix that he has also been able to ink his signature to a lot more endorsements and ambassadorial deals after ending his business relationship with his friend and colleague, Kofi Asamoahaka Kofas.
The comic actor further emphasized that even though many people think his name Kalybos, has not been that all over the place this year as it was before, he believes his brand image has received a very massive improvement than before.
Kalybos together with Ahouf3 Patri worked with Kofi Asamoah after they met at NAFTI as students. The three talented stars were very popular for their comedy skit ‘Adventures of Kalybos’. They also shot three fantastic movies together. These movies were ‘Kalybos in China’, John and John and ‘Amakye and Dede’.
