Dada Hafo has replied to Efia Odo’s statement suggesting that Ghanaians are hypocrites and ignored Kofi B until his death.
The Ghanaian actress reacting to the highlife musician’s death was not happy about how most people treat others when they are alive.
”People will begin to see you when you’re dead. – RIP Kofi B,” she ranted.
Many others believe the ‘Mmobrowa’ composer’s songs were not played on the Ghanaian airwaves.
However, Dada Hafco speaking with Zion Felix on Radio Univers’ ‘Lunch2Brunch’ show pointed out the fallacious comments being spewed by Efia Odo and others.
According to him, songs churned out by Kofi B enjoyed massive airplay before his sudden demise.
He detailed that both old and new radio stations play songs from the deceased musician.
Dada Hafco reiterated that Ofori Amponsah, Daasebre Dwamena, Kofi B and Kofi Nti are some of the artistes whose songs dominate radio airplay in the country.
The problem he cited was the inability for the musicians to get enough revenue or royalties from the songs being played.
Going forward, Dada Hafco wants to see the collection society, Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) putting measures in place for musicians to benefit enormously from their crafts.
