Kumawood actress, Benedicta Gafah has made a donation to widows in Kumasi.
Gafah, who also doubles as a film producer donated clothes to the widows at Bomso, a suburb of Kumasi and its surroundings.
She narrated how her mother sadly passed on leaving behind seven (7) children when she was under the age of eight (8).
According to her, they were lucky to have a caretaker who never made them missed their mum due to her unflinching support and love for them.
The actress disclosed that though their caretaker mum was having four children, she took them like her own children.
Despite all the challenges, Benedicta said the woman tried her best to help them to further their education.
She advised mothers not to curse their children no matter what they would do.
She added that words of encouragement will go a long way of helping their children.
For his part, the Ashanti Regional Actors Guild President, Bill Asamoah thanked the women for their support for the movie industry.
He assured them that they are working on so many innovative ways that will help them to have access to the movies without any hassle.
Bill stressed that the movie industry has not collapsed but the availability of the internet and social media is changing how things were done when it comes to marketing and distribution of movies.
He concluded that it will be a blessing for Benedicta Gafah if one mother goes home with laughter.
Gospel musician Brother Sammy also entertained the women by dishing out praises and danceable tunes.
