Teacher Adonko, one of the few people who gave Ghanaians a lot to laugh about on the TV screens at the time the Kumasi-based movie industry, which is popularly known as Kumawood was very vibrant has not been seen actively playing roles in movies for about two years now.
Well, in a chat with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show, the comic actor revealed that he has been a little silent because producers and directors have not been using him in their movies for some time now.
He emphasized that the likes of Lil-Win, Kwaku Manu and the others are at the forefront now and because they are hot cakes in the country now, most producers will always want to go with them.
Asked if he was, in essence, making the claim that the coming of Lil-Win and others onto the movie scene killed his career, Teacher Adonko stated that it was only so to some little extent. He, however, stressed that it does not bother him.
He added that it was expected that it would happen that way because one cannot always be the best.
