Ghanaian gospel star Patience Nyarko has reacted to Moesha Bodoung’s unwarranted comment on CNN that Ghanaian ladies sleep with rich men for a living.
The minstrel on the latest episode of Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show confirmed that the activity goes on in the country but was quick to add that not all ladies are involved in the illicit act as the actress cum model made the world believe during the CNN interview. To her, ladies who engage in the act do so because of a worrying situation they find themselves and need cash to solve it.
She also said on the Angel TV program that Moesha was partially right with her words but her mistake was including all ladies in the country when granting the interview.
According to female gospel artiste, there are hardworking Ghanaian ladies who do not engage in the immoral act she talked about on the Cable News Network for a living. Using herself as a case study, Patience Nyarko revealed that she has been fending for herself since she turned 14.
The singer with four albums and two singles further said her mother’s death at the age of 14 brought problems for her and that made her work hard to earn enough to get by without help.
The ‘Obi Nyani Me’ hitmaker continued that she used to sell toffee after her mum’s death. Miss Nyarko again divulged that she did not depend on a man for a living even when she traveled to Accra in search of a better life so Moesha would have been hundred percent right if she had excluded some ladies from her conversation on CNN.
