Evangelist Diana Asamoah has bemoaned the works of most gospel artists of today.
The ‘Akoko Abon’ singer on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show disclosed that she is not impressed with the nature of songs released in the system now. She opined that many gospel artistes who recently joined the industry rush in producing songs especially worship tunes.
To her, nearly all worship songs released in recent times do not lift the spirit of the listener because the singers go hell for leather when recording.
She said most of the new worshipers cannot be compared to old folks like Cecilia Marfo, Elder Mireku and few others judging from their fast-food works. Diana Asamoah further told Zionfelix, host of the show that “if you look at today’s worship songs, it looks like they don’t know what they are doing”.
She later blamed the new gospel acts for the dying gospel music industry aside piracy. Asked if some gospel artistes seek her advice on how to go about their songs, she answered “yes” but quickly added that not many.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah host Abba Father concert on Sunday, December 3 at the Accra International Center with other gospel artistes like Ohemaa Mercy, McAbraham, Bro. Sammy, Winneba Youth Choir, and many others.
