Ghanaian actor Clement Bonney, widely known as Mr. Beautiful, is one of the many Ghanaian entertainers who are very vociferous in the political space.
As a known sympathizer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Beautiful has offered some revelation about how he suffered because of his affiliation with the opposition party.

In a recent interview, he disclosed that based on the troubles he faced on social media, he was forced to stay away from social media for about eight years.
According to him, he did this, after suffering a lot of harassment just because of his open support for John Mahama and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Beautiful further revealed that the relentless verbal attacks and cyberbullying eventually forced him to withdraw from social media platforms.

He disclosed that per the investigation he did, the attacks mainly came from individuals aligned with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The actor described how he became a target simply because of his political beliefs and his public backing of Mahama during the 2016 elections.
“For eight years, I stayed off social media because of the constant insults,” he said, adding that the backlash was a direct result of his alignment with the NDC and his involvement in the 2016 election campaign.
