Media guru, Naa Yaa Serwaa Sarpong had donated to the Akropong School For The Blind.
The channel manager for Multi TV Presented the items to the school located in the Eastern Region on Thursday, June 29 a day before her birthday. Goodies she donated included 30 bags of rice, 10 boxes of cowbell milk powder, 35 packs of beta malt, 9 boxes of frytol cooking oil, assorted clothing and footwear and many others.
Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong after giving the products to the school promised to visit them again. Administrators of the institution after receiving the goodies thanked the marketing and brand strategist for her kind gesture and pleaded with the public to also come to their aid.
Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong during her visit went with Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah who also encouraged the students.
The Akropong School for the Blind in the Eastern Region of the then Gold Coast (Ghana) was established 1945, the first in the South-Sahara Africa with four students. It was first started on the premises of the Presbyterian teacher Education College (PTEC), formerly Presbyterian training college (PTC) at Akropong Akuapem.
