The news about Naa Ashorkor’s sack from the Multimedia Group has seen a lot of reaction on social media after she sadly made the announcement herself on Wednesday, May 6.

After the news went viral, there were a lot of reports that speculated that she was fired because she was ‘swerving’ her duties on TV.

Even though she has remained quiet on these reports, Mark Okraku Mantey, who happens to programs manager at Hitz FM, has provided some more details about the possible reasons that could have lead to her dismissal.

Speaking on Peace FM’s entertainment review show over the weekend, Mark disclosed that decision to fire or appoint people at the Multimedia Group is solely a decision taken by the Human Resource department.

He added that maybe Naa Ashokor‘s output was measured and compared to others in regard to the money she makes from her shows or programs, they decided to let her go.

The Slip Music boss also went on to place on record that the Multimedia group had decided long ago to lay off workers even before COVID-19, therefore, it has nothing to do with it any hardships they are going through now.
