Young Ghanaian actor actor Rahim Banda is glowing over president Nana Addo’s new policy of first year senior high school students paying nothing before attending school.
The second year student of Ghana National College in a short video stressed on the worry of parents years back when their children were preparing to enroll in senior high school after passing Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE). According to him, most parents had problem getting cash to pay the fees of their children to enable them attain quality education but that is no more.
“Before now, parents were saddled with a huge financial burden of paying for the SHS education of their wards but now with the free SHS programme, that burden has been lifted off their shoulders” Rahim Banda said.
The precocious actor applauded the first gentleman of the land for enacting the policy to allow young Ghanaians enjoy better education without paying a penny. Rahim later asked Ghanaians to help leaders of the country sustain the free SHS policy.
