Online reports sighted by zionfelix.net suggest music star Nana Yaw Kumi aka Kumi Guitar is preparing to contest the upcoming primaries which will be organized by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
We are gathering that he will contest the primaries in the Akkwatia constituency.

Currently, the parliamentary seat of the constituency is occupied by Mrs. Mercy Adu-Gyamfi popularly known as Ama Sey of the NPP.
Ama Sey is the popular hairdresser who humiliated opposition National Democratic Congress’ Mohammed Baba Jamal in the 2016 election.

Nana Yaw Kumi’s decision to likely contest in the upcoming primaries adds him to the list of Ghanaian entertainers who have already declared their parliamentary ambitions.
It will be noted that the likes of John Dumelo, K.K Fosu, and Bice Osei Kufuor Obour are already seriously campaigning.
