Celebrated American comedian with Ghanaian roots, Michael Blackson has argued that there are only 4 superstars in Ghana.
As strongly opined by Michael, unlike Nigeria which can boast of many superstars, Ghana can only brag about having only 4 international celebrities.
He submitted that Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Black Sherif are the only superstars we have in Ghana.
Michael Blackson made this controversial statement during an American-based podcast show named Drink Champs podcast hosted by N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN.
He additionally revealed for the first time that he has signed Gambo onto his label to make him the 5th Ghanaian superstar.
According to the comedian, he basically signed Gambo because he wants to make a superstar out of him just like the other four already making waves.
“Nigeria has all the stars. Nigeria is like the New York of music in Africa and Ghana is like the Dubai of Africa I can only count about four superstars in Ghana. We have Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif,”
Some Ghanaians on the internet have suggested that he should have at least, added Wiyaala to the superstars – Because undoubtedly, she has more international appeal than most Ghanaian musicians.
