Renowned Ghanaian filmmaker, director, producer, and CEO of Farmhouse Productions, Mr. Ivan Quashigah has revealed that in three years the NPP government has been in power, it will be difficult to pinpoint any tangible thing they have done for the movie industry.

Mr. Quashigah in the interview on the ‘Uncut’ show revealed that the only major thing he has seen was that recently he heard the Ministry of Creative Arts and Tourism have started organizing some masterclass for industry players which is not a bad idea to start with.

He went further to advise the party that if they want to make a very remarkable mark in the movie industry, then the best thing they can do is to bring out legislation which will allow local movie industries to strive and run shoulders with their counterparts from Nollywood, Bollywood and the other industries.

The award-winning director suggested that the New Patriotic Party can probably look into legislation which bans foreign content on the TV screens at primetime and allocate the time to solely local content.

He stressed that it would be a move that would be very appreciated by local movie producers and the party will go down in history as the best in recent years for the movie industry.
